Best of 2021: Harlene Overalls
A traditional pair of easy fitting dungarees, the Harlene Overalls are a hard-working wardrobe staple featuring classic detailing and optional top stitching. Loose through the hips and legs, with side button closures, a high dungaree back, and patch pockets, these overalls are inspired by traditional workers' dungaree but fitted for a casual, feminine look.

- Dark Lilac Cotton Twill - This twill is the perfect chino twill. Soft, flexible, medium weight, and 100% cotton, it's an ideal fabric for any pair of overalls. What sold me on this fabric in particular is the color. Dark and slightly muted, this lilac color reminds me of the twilight sky and oil slicked water. It is completely unexpected for a pair of overalls, and yet I can't out of my mind how lovely it will look as a finished pair of overalls. A simply gorgeous choice!
I just finished up my overalls and absolutely love them. The kit was perfect too -- plenty of extra thread and fabric in case of mistakes (and I had machine troubles so I found myself ripping seams quite often, haha). Opening the box was a delight, it was so lovingly packaged. I'd rate myself a confident beginner and this pattern was a challenge but a fun one. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a project!
