The Burnside Bibs are not your traditional work overalls. Yes, they are comfortable and easy to wear, yet they are much more stylish and feminine than traditional versions. The straps that transition to narrower ties offer many options for how they can be tied. The Burnside Bibs have two front bib options - a scooped neck or the traditional straight front. Both bibs work with either version #1 or version #2. Version #1 is a more fitted back pant with back waist darts and an invisible side zipper opening, however, the ties still form a small amount of gathers at the back waist. Version #2 is a looser back pant that slips on over your hips and does not have a closure to sew. This version is fuller and more gathered in the back. Use your hip measurement to determine your size for version #2. Both versions also feature a front waistband, curved front patch pockets, optional back pockets, and cross-back straps that transition to narrower ties that thread through back waist belt loops forming back waist gathers. They may be tied in many ways - at the back, front or sides. The legs are somewhat wide and can be made full length or cropped. More...

Comfy pullover

Easy pattern to sew and very warm. Not a flattering price but great to relax in.

Fabric quality for the boxes is excellent. Informational tutorials can be found online

Love the pattern

I love this pattern. It isn't a good one for beginners due to the lack of clear instructions. It also doesn't really tell you the width of bias binding to use -- odd! -- good thing bias tape comes in the kit. The garment itself is comfortable and flexible but the amount of fabric given seemed pretty skimpy this month.

struggling

I am not exactly a beginner but someone who needs more sewing experiences. This kit is frustrating me more than stretching me: e.g., I prefer tissue patterns for flexibility, manageability, elimination of steps (tracing); am finding red ink hard to read on the instruction; the English translation and abbreviations takes some figuring out (it can be done but why so challenging?); metric measurements also need translating (from instruction to pattern to sewing machine); the fabric is super slinky for someone still feeling her way. I could use a secondary Needle-sharp written tutorial to avoid confusion and frustration. I am only just beginning the sewing part so results remain to be seen . . .if it doesn't turn out useable I will really be ticked.

Lovely pattern and fabric combination

Great pattern and fabric. I love that you do all the main decisions for me! I little disappointed in the amount of elastic thread supplied-definitely needed more than one spool. Also, the fabric is very shear; it really needed a lining on the bodice. So, I did have to go to my local fabric store to get more supplies to finish.
