Pam Coat Sewing Kit: Long Version - Heavyweight Chevron Wool Tweed
Cosy up in this coat with its wide cut and low armhole, turn up its pretty shawl collar, and slip your hands into its large pockets. You can make Pam in a maxi length for a very elegant look, or in a mid-thigh overcoat version under which you can slip a small jacket.
Pattern: Pam Coat from Maison Fauve
Skill Level: Intermediate
What you should know (or desire to learn): Setting sleeves, sewing a shawl collar, attaching patch pockets, and inserting a lining
Fabric: Heavyweight Chevron Wool Tweed - The heaviest of our coating options, this fabric is made for winter. The wide chevron and bulky hand matches the oversized quality to the pattern and will give a feel of 80s mens tailored coats (without the shoulder pads). And if you've been paying attention, menswear is back in a big way. The yarn-dyed fabric is textured and a little rustic, but with a lining, it will be your go-to coat when the weather turns frigid.
Also in this box: Matching thread, black charmeuse lining fabric, fusible interfacing, two buttons, and a sewing machine needle.
