Classic Sew Select Box - December 2024

$105.00

Whitlow is a relaxed robe designed for slow and easy mornings. It is the perfect cover-up to throw on as you prepare for the day, or to relax on the couch. It has two length options, one that finishes above the knee, the other below the knee. The robe features raglan sleeves, a deep overlap (for a great amount of coverage), pockets (in-seam or patch), a shaped collar band and a waist sash. Interior waist ties keep the robe nice and secure. The hem has a facing for a beautiful and clean finish. Choose between a cropped sleeve or a longer sleeve with a hem facing. More...

  • Ivory Organic Cotton Double Gauze - A double gauze is a no brainer for a cozy bathrobe, and this ivory cotton feels straight out of a fancy spa. The dreamy texture of the fabric - spongy and airy -  is reflected in the calming off white color and incredibly light weight of the fabric. We can imagine wrapping ourselves in this robe right out of the shower, the soft cotton absorbing water like a towel, and treating ourselves to a nice face mask or moisturizing lotion. Everything about this fabric screams self-care, and we love it!
  • Rose Yarn-Dye Stripe Double Gauze - This fabric takes all the qualities of a double gauze (as seen above) and adds a gorgeous yarn-dyed banded stripe. The pale, slightly peachy pink, is warm yet neutral, and the white stripes add a beachy feel, like riviera stripes on the Mediterranean. Light, airy, and oh so cushy, this fabric will transform into a sumptuous robe for lounging around on long winter nights. Simply wonderful!

Wow

The Indigo Pre-Quilted Stripe fabric in this box just blew me away. The pictures and description just did not do it justice.
The box comes with all the notions needed to complete the project. It's lovely to have a new needle for each new product.

Favorite Winter Trousers

This box arrived just in time for the cooler weather. The trousers by The Assembly Line are great. I was a bit skeptical of the double pleats on the front and double darts in the back. Once I was done, I felt like I stepped out from the 1920s or 30s. I'm 5'10" and normally need to find jeans/pants with a 34" inseam. I was very surprised at the length of these trousers since their website state that they draft their patterns for a height of 5'6". I decided not to add any extra length and they ended up being just right -- with a narrow hem -- when I wear flats. I would definitely add an inch or two next time to widen the hem and make them a little longer to wear with any type of small heel.

I also really loved the buttons that were included in the box.

I am already planning on making another pair of these trousers for this winter.
