Springtime Sewing Is Here!

We are exploring different blouse options for the month of April so that after two months of sewing bottoms, you won't have to go walking around topless (unless that's your thing). Now, there are a lot of options out there for separates that you can pair with skirts and trousers: woven tanks, classic button-downs, tunics and more. But, we chose blouses because they combine classic styling with unique features that lift them above the ordinary. March Madness for Trouser Patterns

I've always found March to be an odd, transitional month. Inspiration for Our February Pencil Skirt Box

It's hard to deny the versatility of the simple pencil skirt. It can be paired with a simple tank for a great weekend outfit. Or match it to a blazer and a nice shirt, and you have your go-to work outfit. It can be made in pretty much any color and any print. I also think it's incredibly figure-flattering. Pretty much any body type can sport the look. No matter what fruit or vegetable you happen to be (apple, pear, beanpole, pineapple - okay, that one is made up but I'm imagining it fits someone with a mohawk), this style will work with you to show off your best assets. When looking for inspiration out there, it wasn't hard to find...

Say Hello to the February Box Featuring Pencil Skirts!

I personally love the look of pencil skirts. You can wear them to work and look wicked professional or you could pair it with tights, boots and a short jacket and look perfect for a dinner out or a cool brunch. Plus, if you pair a fabulous skirt with a neutral top, you can create a bold statement outfit with very little effort. Pardon my French, but they are versatile AF. And this month, I've chosen three styles that will be great additions to your wardrobe.
