Revel Topper Sewing Pattern by Sew House Seven
The Revel Topper is a quick and satisfying make with some great design details. All versions have a cuton shawl collar with a yokelike collar facing. The collar facing can be attached from the inside or outside, allowing for a concealed construction or a purposeful front yoke for colour blocking, pattern mixing, embroidery, etc. The Revel pairs well with highwaist pants and skirts and looks great as a short top, but is also just long enough to tuck into a midrise bottom. Views A and B have angled bust darts but a fairly loose fit and are semicropped. View A has short cuton sleeves with wide stitcheddown facings, while View B has elbow length cuton sleeves with cuffs. Version C is a modified poncho with wide, bracelet length sleeves. This version is very loose and does not have darts.
Fabric: Light to mid-weight woven fabrics with a subtle drape such as linen, viscose/linen blends, Ecovero challis, and Tencel chambray.
