The Revel Topper is a quick and satisfying make with some great design details. All versions have a cut-on shawl collar with a yoke-like collar facing. The collar facing can be attached from the inside or outside, allowing for a concealed construction or a purposeful front yoke for color blocking, pattern mixing, embroidery, etc.

The Revel pairs well with high-waist pants and skirts and looks great as a short top, but is also just long enough to tuck into a mid-rise bottom. Views A and B have angled bust darts but a fairly loose fit and are semi-cropped. View A has short cut-on sleeves with wide stitched-down facings, while View B has elbow length cut-on sleeves with cuffs. Version C is a modified poncho with wide, bracelet length sleeves. This version is very loose and does not have darts. More...

  • Cadet Blue Essex Linen -A mix of 55% linen and 45% cotton, this medium weight fabric has a full-body drape that is ideal for this boxy top. The beauty of linen is that the more you wash it, the softer it becomes. Plus, it's eminently breathable and durable. With a pale blue hue, this fabric is classic and beautiful and a great addition to your wardrobe.
  • Jet Black Handkerchief Linen - Light and airy, at just 3 oz, this linen is perfect for summer tops. The dark colors helps with opacity, while the crisp, dry hand keeps you cool and comfortable. Easy to sew and easy to wear, there's a chance this might become your favorite top!
  • Funfetti Metallic Essex Linen - We love the texture and heathered look of Robert Kaufman Essex linen. And here, they've upped the ante with a linen woven with rainbow lurex thread, giving it a wonderful shine and sparkle. The&;contrast of the homespun linen with the more modern metallic makes us swoon. Embrace the sparkle and turn it into a one of a kind summer top!

June Box

I was sent an email to review my June box. This is difficult to do since I have not yet received it. I paid for it on June 1, but have not received. I paid for May’s box on May 1 and received it in the beginning of June (and it did not include the number of buttons that was required to complete the pattern.). Overall, my experience with NeedleSharp has not been good. They do not respond to questions when you email and when they do respond it takes days and days and all of your questions/concerns are not addressed. Their website is not user friendly which adds complications and more reasons to email (to which you will not get good and timely responses.) I was super excited for this each month but already canceled- it was not a good experience.

Great quality but need some guidance

Great quality box of items. Everything is included for project and it’s what I consider to be high quality fabric, thread, etc. I personally don’t know that I need a needle since I am particular about what brand I use in my machine. I like that I could access the link to see some pattern steps…. For a beginner following the pattern has been a challenge. Overall good experience
